I found it was valuable to talk about how boys and girls learn differently- especially in regards to writing.

I learned that there is a lot of resources to use in my classroom. From today I feel more comfortable bringing them into the classroom and getting the technology into the students hands.

I learned that there is a way for students to interact with information on a simple teacher-created page.

I am really excited about the potential of Protopage and Comic Life. I can't wait to use both in the classroom.

I did not realize how many interactive educational websites were available for use with students. I was also surprised by how easy Comic Life is to use, and the many ways it can be used.

I enjoyed learning about new websites and current activities for students. This will definitely aid and enhance my ability to provide differentiation through instructional technology. The ah-hah I had today was that I have limited technology skills, but my students can already do so much. I feel confident that they will be able to approach these tasks with much enthusiasm.

I liked the pace. I expected ELL help, but I can certainly use my protopage with ALL my boys! I always love Karen's top 10s. I just hope I will have some time to practice and add to my protopage.
Thank you, the day was worthwhile!

I liked how hands on the day was. Being able to try everything on my computer and having some time to explore with the programs was really helpful! I'm excited to go back and integrate this technology into what I'm teaching. I'm confident this will help my boys be more engaged.

I have used this beginning on proto-page to branch out from , our class website, connecting it to the student's service learning project, Operation Laptop, webpage, which connects to our class blog. We have really used this technology to enhance the structure of our class. The webisodes and electronic field trips have been a highlight of the school year and we use our proto-page to keep it all current and active.

I feel that the amount of information we covered was incredible. There was almost too much to assimilate at one time. I am also amazed by the statistics on technology use by our students. I will try to use the Voice Thread to encourage my students to express themselves orally and in writing. It is something that is less threatening (short writing or speaking-which ever is more comfortable for the student.

I appreciated the quote from a high school student (on the "Paying Attention" video) who said, "When I go to school, I have to 'power down.'" It shows the need to teach our students as "digital learners."

I will definitely be creating podcasts in my classroom after seeing how easy it is.

I can't wait to try the voice streaming with my class. It will help me reach all students and get them excited about the information and the technology.

I appreciated the specifics on gender learning differences. I am looking forward to the student's responses using my slide show that started with flickr!
I am thrilled that I have a coach to help me continue to try new technology incorporating the Motivational Framework.

I enjoyed receiving all the great web sites resources. Being able to have time to work on our menus, VoiceThreads, etc. was nice. I will be trying to use the menus more often with my class, as well as bringing in some slide shows to engage my students.
